Christmas Wishlist

Yay it's this time of the year again! Christmas is my favourite thing ever, theres nothing better than cozying up on the sofa and watching Christmas films with a nice mug of Hot Chocolate. So these are a few things that i've asked for, for Christmas:

1. Nars Lauguna Bronzer- This seems to be a favourite with everybody and i've been meaning to purchase this for ages!

2. Mac Mineralize Skinfinish in 'Soft and Gentle'- Another thing that i've been meaning to buy and everybody also seems to love.

3. River Island Watch- I've asked for this in Rose-Gold but it's not on the website anymore in that colour. Im hoping to get a Michael Kors Gold watch for my Birthday so i thought this would be a good alternative in Rose-Gold.

4. Ted Baker Makeup Bag- I'm in need of a new makeup bag and this one is just too irresistible.

5. Benefit Coralista Blush- I saw Tanya Burr using this in one of her tutorials and i've wanted it ever since!

6. Mac 217 Brush- This seems to be an essential to all makeup artists and beauty gurus on Youtube and i want to start experimenting with eye shadows more.

7. Real Techniques Core Collection- Another thing that i've been wanting for ages and i just fancy some new brushes!

8. Topshop Nail Polishes in Plume3D and Razzmatazz- I'm a big fan of the Topshop Nail Polishes and these are just the nicest colours ever!

9. Zara Bag- I really wanted a new classy black bag that I can wear on my arm or over my shoulder and this bag is perfect.

10.vViva La Juicy La Fleur- The original Viva La Juicy is my favourite fragrance in the whole world so I'm sure i'll love this as well.

What are you asking for, for Christmas this year?

Have an amazing Christmas and I hope Santa brings you what you all wished for!

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser Starter Kit

John Lewis- 100ml £14.25

There has been so much hype over this cleanser for ages and quite a few beauty bloggers and Youtubers have included it in monthly favourites and generally raved about how amazing it is. Seeing as i had just ran out of my Clarins Cleansing Milk it was a convenient time to be trying out a new Cleanser. As i said in my last post my skin has just been looking horrible and dull recently so i really wanted to try something new that was really going to help my skin, without it breaking the bank.

The starter kit comes with the 100ml Cleanse and Polish as well as 2 muslin cloths. I actually bought my one from Boots in the Shepherds BushWestfield but as Boots don't sell it online, I hunted it down at the cheapest price possible from a convenient store. I think mine may have been about £19, I'm not to sure. But anyways I saw that John Lewis are selling for around £14 which is amazing!

The cleanser has really combated my mix between dry patches whilst having an oily T-zone as it has Eucalyptus in to soak up any oilyness and Cocoa Butter to nourish dryness. It gives my skin so much moisture, after I've just cleansed I'm constantly stroking my face because it just feels so amazingly soft like feathers! Even though this Cleanser does remove eye makeup (very well!) i also find that i have to use a cotton bud and Eye Makeup Remover right on my lash line to get every last bit of it off. I use my Clarins One-Step Cleanser before just to get the top layer of makeup off, then use one pump of The Cleanse and Polish on the back of my hand and massage it all over my face and down my neck, until it gets really thick and I can't rub it in anymore. Then i take my muslin cloth which has been in relatively warm/hot water and literally just wipe off my makeup. It's so simple and i find that it gets rid of all my makeup with just one pump.

I LOVE this cleanser so much and I can already tell it's going to be a favourite of mine for a very long time!

Botanics All Bright Hydrating Day Cream SPF 15

                                                                  Boots- 50ml £3.33

The other day I finally ran out of my La Roche-Posay Effaclar Matt moisturiser which i was actually really excited about as I've found that in the more colder months i need a more hydrating moisturiser (I have combination skin by the way!) so that my skin doesn't look dull, and the Effaclar Matt seemed to really dry out my skin.

I saw Gracie from UglyFaceOfBeauty talking about the Botanics Ultra Calm cream which she said was really good and really helped the redness of her skin. I had planned on getting the Calming moisturiser but I saw that there was this one for brightening, as my skin is looking so dull and boring at the moment i just picked up this one, and its only £3.33, BARGIN!

I've been using it for at least two weeks now, right before i put on my makeup in the mornings. Firstly you literally need the smallest amount for your whole face and neck as it's quite a runny consistency rather than a thick cream. Also the smell of this is so heavenly, i can't really describe the smell of it but i would say it's quite Floraly sort of. I have noticed a change in my skin, it definitely feels and looks a lot more hydrated and awake than what it did before. I don't get dry patches now so it's helped with that as well as the fact that I've found that my makeup stays in place a lot better when i use this moisturiser before applying my makeup, which is always a bonus right? No need for a primer everyday now!

nails nails nails

As im sure you can probably tell by looking at these few pictures, recently i have become SO ridiculously obsessed with doing nail art on my nails. Like i'll just be sitting there so bored and have this massive urge to go and do my nails, and even when i just paint my nails one plain colour, i'm not satisfied, so i wack out my dotting tools and such and just start doing random things on there.

I definitely can not take all the credit though for the creativeness of these nails as i get most of my inspiration from pictures i see on instagram, so many of them are just so gorgeous!

Anyway i'm going to try to do more blog posts when i do my nails. I bought the Models Own, Beach Party polish today, which im super excited to use, so i will probably do a blog post on that to show you bunch of beauties how much of a gorgeous colour it is.

I hope these pictures have given y'all some inspiration and made you happy.

I definitely want to experiment with neons this Spring/Summer!

Dove Summer glow (for normal to dark skin) 250ml

 Boots- £5.69, Superdrug- £3.00

This is my 3rd bottle of this stuff in about a year and a half so i definitely don't think i could live without it! It's great if your like me and you hate seeing your skin pale but yet you don't want to look like an ompa loompa and having streaky fake tan on. This gives a nice even summer glow to your skin whilst at the same time moisturising and nourishing it.
As it's a gradual tanner i always apply this in the evening so you can see results in the morning (it takes a few hours to actually show up on your skin) then if i want to keep the tan i will keep applying it every night. Also this doesn't wash off very easily in the shower, i guess if you scrubbed it lots with soap it probably would fade quite a bit, but i try my hardest not to scrub my skin with anything in the shower/bath so it won't come off.
Theres only a couple of things that aren't really to rave about, about this product. The first is that it's so sticky and uncomfortable especially when you go to bed with this on, i stick to the bed sheets and i have to lie spread out so that my legs or whatever don't stick together even though it's dried it still feels kinda wet and sticky. The other thing is the smell of it, at first when it's just come out of the bottle and you've just applied it, it smells amazing! But after about half an hour or so, it starts smelling of fake tan which i don't know about everyone else but i personally hate the smell of fake tan, it literally makes me gag!
Despite the downsides, this is the best gradual tinted moisturiser i've used and until i find a better one, i'm definitely going to be re-purchasing this to keep my skin having a gorgeous summer glow!
